Integrated Site Management

Jiko delivers real, specific and actionable site management capabilities to your construction, oil and gas operation. Connecting our machine and grade management tools on the site via cell creates a single secure network. Log in from anywhere to share data and provide visibility to every user. All the data is present in real time, and communication between team members happens within the interface.

SITE MAINTENANCE
TOWER MAINTENANCE STRATEGY
The frequency of tower maintenance would be increased at exposed coastal sites, high wind areas and major metro areas. The following preventive measures will be adopted as a guide to manage the various types of towers in various sites.

 Regular checks for signs of erosion around the tower and container foundations and possible entrapment of water within the site(s).
 Examining the foundation for signs of cracks.
 Examining the tower base (Lattice or Monopole) for signs of settlement. This can be done by checking the interface between the tower foundation and the apron or surrounding area for signs of movement.
 Examining the concrete foundations and base plate grouting for signs of spalling.
 Examining drainage holes, where relevant, for blockages at the leg base and at each bracing member.
 Checking for signs rust at the ends of the pipe members, bolts, nuts and washers.
 Examining all tower joints for signs of movement by checking the paint or dirt stains at he joints and/or physically chalking the relevant tower member.
 Routinely examining the antenna safety slings and paint condition of the tower to avoid chalking.
 Checking for Kinks in the tower legs by examining the surface of each tower leg.
 All cable conditions must be examined for damages or failing waterproofing kits.

The Oil and Gas industry is characterized by remote unmanned, and inaccessible / difficult to reach sites, with little or no fixed line communication, and sometimes even no wireless coverage. For many years the sites have been managed by non-IT elements, including various sensors and on site PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) units that conveyed system critical information. These labor intensive and inefficient operational procedures included personnel arriving on drilling rigs or reviewing the lengths of the pipelines. Also the remote locations of the pipelines and rigs make them particularly vulnerable to theft/vandalism. Emissions of pollutants to air, water and soil are an ongoing risk on the production and piping sites, and heavy environmental regulation requires significant investments in control and monitoring.

The Need
With substantial delays and long mean-time to repair, fragmented view of incoming information, operations in many facilities these days are still sub-optimal. Drilling rig and pipeline accidents cause great losses in spillages and heavy damages to the environment. Strong environmental regulations make the cost of maintenance and accident even greater. Therefore, billions of naira are spent every year by the pipeline industry to monitor pipeline corrosion and damages, and maintain pumping stations and regulation stations. Maintenance is responding, not proactive. There is a growing need to react quickly to leakage of gas or oil in order to prevent losses and damages, prevent losing precious rig/pipeline time and maintain operational continuity in keeping the gas / oil flowing.

The Solution
Jiko Systems, a market leader in management of remote systems, provides a turnkey solution for the remote facilities of the oil and gas industry, enabling web based / mobile device access and control at all times for all site indicators and controls.

· Pipeline Cathodic Protection systems (rectifiers, test points, corrosion probes), regulator site remote monitoring and control.
· Flow metering on pumps and pipes with use of new/existing analog/digital infrastructure.
· Oil and Gas production site critical parameters monitoring and control – pump status and control, temperature, power and alternative power supply, tank level (percentage and liters), oil quality sensors, leak-detection, compressor pressure.
· Proactive maintenance and damage prevention.
· Environment control and monitoring of air quality, alert on pollutants discharge.
· Full real-time mapping of sites with real time data.
· Reduction of energy consumption by switching alternative energy sources.
· Site production continuity.
